I like watches. I mean, every man does. It never goes out of style seeing a nice watch on a man’s hand. Just like the jewelry on woman. The same. Recently, I got my third watch. Yeah, as you can see, I’m not a collector type. Not even close. But one day… who knows. Baby steps. My watch collections consists of the ones that are very versatile and goes with any style. Gold, black, silver or brown leather. You cannot miss with any of them. I’ve been wanting to get a watch that is really minimalistic, elegant and classy at the same time. A watch you can wear with your plain white t-shirt and some old sneakers but also with a shirt, trousers and nice shoes. Watch that won’t be an immediate eye catcher but will still be noticeable. And all of that I found in Daniel Wellington watch. After browsing their website, I decided for a Classic Durham one in Rose Gold. At first I wasn’t quite sure about the Rose Gold (the other choice was Silver), but the truth is that on this watch you can’t really tell the difference between the Rose gold and Gold. It really looks like a Gold one. The strap on this Classic Durham model is, as it’s stated on their website: “Made of genuine American leather, and has been treated with vegetable oil. Due to the nature of oily leather, the strap will lighten in color when bent or stretched”. And as much as I love this type of leather and this type of strap, it is true that with time it will show some marks and will lighten in color when bent. Mine already did. I was aware of that but nevertheless, I kinda like it that way. If you don’t particularly like that, then try with other Classic models. My other choice was Classic St Mawes.
I’ve been wearing my watch daily. Running errands, events, while hosting my TV show, traveling etc. It really goes with any style. And even it’s very minimalisitic, it still is very nice and very elegant. Its really hard to miss with this one. And above all, it’s not that expensive. Great price, beautiful watch, satisfied customer. I know I am. Thank you DW!
