On my playlist. Summer/2016

Yes, the Summer might be going towards it’s end and soon I’ll be listening to more Indie/Singer-Songwriter stuff, but until that happens, I wanted to let you know what I’ve been listening through these Summer months. As usual, I don’t really think that this year, well this Summer, was a Summer full of hits. Or any memorable songs. We’re far away from the beginning of 00’s, and even further from 90’s when every Summer had it’s own Anthem. Those were the days. I’m being nostalgic here but 90’s were THE years. Songs were way better, movies, too and Summer days were unforgettable. Even today, when I hear some songs from the 90’s or Summer hits from back then, I can remember all the fun stuff I did, or the moments I was a part of and all the incredible stories that are now lifetime memories. Nostalgic, eh? This Summer I can’t really remember of any songs that I will connect with any memories I have. Last year, that was, without a doubt, a song called Prayer in C. Damn, some great night outs happened while this one was playing. I even wrote about in my column sometimes last Summer. This year… well, only few parties and only few good songs, in my opinion. Even less than few. Luckily, there are always some classics that saves the day. Well, whole Summer. Here’s what I’ve been listening on repeat this last couple of months (in no particular order):

Imany feat. Filatov & Karas – Don’t Be So Shy

Le Youth – Cool

Little Boots – Staring At The Sun

Lauv – The Other (Ghosts Remix)

Cut Copy – Hearts On Fire

De Javu – I Can’t Stop

Mike Posner – I Took A Pill In Ibiza (Seeb Remix)

Duke Dumont – Ocean Drive

The XX – Angels ( Kygo Edit )

The Normalites – The Sun Rising (Shur-I-Kan Vocal Mix)

What’s on your repeat this Summer?
